Transplanting large size trees requires specialized equipment which will cut through the soil to dig a root ball and lift the weight of the soil mass and tree out of the ground. Large trucks handle this process with ease.

Shade Tree Farm's fleet of three 90" spades and two 65" spades are kept busy moving trees from 5" caliper to 10" caliper. This large fleet provides great flexibility and the ability to quickly complete small and large projects.

Trees up to 4" caliper are dug with one of our many smaller tree spades attached to skid loaders. Care is taken to dig just the right sized rootball to allow for optimum transplant success and the fastest re-establishment time.
